YOUR PET'S WEIGHT

Helping your pet maintain a healthy weight will relieve some of the stress on your pet’s joints and also improve mobility.

THE COLD

When it’s cold your pet’s osteoarthritis symptoms may become worse. Make sure they have a thick, warm bed, out of draughts, to sleep and rest.

JOINT INJURIES

Try to avoid anything that might risk injury to a pet that is less mobile, such as jumping from high places or using stairs. Injuries can accelerate the progression of osteoarthritis. If your pet does suffer joint injuries, make sure to see your vet and ensure plenty of rest and recovery for your pet.

EXERCISE

Your pet needs regular exercise in moderation to reduce stiffness and maintain muscle health… but try to avoid activities like chasing a ball or jumping.
